You can make your own yellow mustard from scratch using Dijon mustard powder and cider vinegar. To make the mustard, combine 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard powder with 3 tablespoons of cider vinegar in a bowl. Stir until combined and let sit for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Dill Pickles

To make dill pickles, mix 1 cup of white distilled vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, ½ teaspoon of celery seed, ¼ teaspoon of ground turmeric, and 1 bay leaf together in a medium saucepan. Bring mixture to a simmer over low heat and cook for 10 minutes. Remove bay leaf and discard. Transfer mixture to a glass jar and cool completely. Let stand overnight. Refrigerate pickles for up to 6 months.

Lemon Juice

Mix 1 cup of white distilled lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon each of kosher salt and mustard seeds, and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a medium bowl. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Cover and let sit at least 30 minutes. Store in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Pickled Onions
Answer: Mix 1 cup of cider vinegar, 1 cup of water, 2 teaspoons of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of black peppercorns, 1 teaspoon of whole cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, and 1 star anise pod in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until liquid reduces by half, about 20 minutes. Add 4 cups of thinly sliced red onions and continue to simmer until onions are tender but still crisp, about 15 minutes longer. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Discard spices and transfer onions to a serving dish. Serve warm or cold. Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Add 5 cups of extra virgin olive oil to a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into a container and store in a dark cabinet. Use within 6 months.

Answer: Chop parsley leaves and place in a jar with a lid. Add enough vodka to fill the jar and shake vigorously. Let stand
for 24 hours. Strain off the vodka and discard. Transfer the parsley to a clean jar and repeat steps above. Continue adding vodka until the desired flavor is achieved. Store in a dark cabinet. Parsley keeps indefinitely.
